The District Court Clerk’s offices in the 8th Judicial District will be closed on Friday, August 2. Dickinson, Geary, Marion, and Morris Counties, as well as Riley and Clay Counties in the 21st Judicial District, are converting to a new case management system, Odyssey Case Manager. Eventually, all district courts across the State of Kansas will convert to this program as well. Court Services, Community Corrections, Court Trustee, and all other County offices will be open, and court hearings will be held as scheduled on Friday, August 2.
The Kansas eFiling System for the electronic filing of documents will be shut down from 5 PM on Tuesday, July 30, until 12:01 AM on Monday, August 5. Pursuant to the Supreme Court Administrative Order 302, attorneys will not be allowed to fax file during this time frame. However, the Court Clerk’s Office can accept paper filings from attorneys at the front counter on Wednesday and Thursday, July 31 and August 1. However, any filing fee will have to be paid by cash, check, or money order. The Court Clerk’s Office will not be able to accept any credit or debit card payments from 5 PM on July 30 through 8 AM on August 5. (The Kansas eFiling System will be able to accept credit or debit card payments starting at 12:01 AM on Monday, August 5, and we will process them after 8 AM when we open the office.)
