Dickinson County Jury Duty Information

Jury duty status: (785) 263-4806

Checking Status on Website

Please check your jury summons to determine the date you need to report. Then click on "Jury Trial Status" below and find your report date for the most current status.

If the jury trial you are to report for indicates that it is currently going as scheduled, you will need to check back again after 5:30 p.m. the evening before you are scheduled to appear. If it says going as scheduled, you need to report for jury duty.

Jury Trial Status

Statuses Are Subject to Change

Jury duty status could change after 5:30 p.m. on Friday for Monday jury trials, and if so, it would not necessarily be accurately reflected on this website. However, the message on the phone line (the number is in the next paragraph) will be accurate after 5:30 p.m. the evening before the scheduled jury trial. So for Monday jury trials that indicate they are going as scheduled, please be sure to call Sunday evening after 5:30 p.m. or early Monday morning to determine if you still need to appear.

You may also call 785-263-4806 after 5:30 p.m. the evening before you are scheduled to appear for jury duty.

Reporting for Jury Service

Please report by 8:30 a.m. to the 2nd Floor of the:
Dickinson County Courthouse
109 E 1st Street
Abilene, Kansas

What You Should Bring

You may want to bring a jacket or sweater, as you may feel the courtroom is too cool for your comfort. Please allow plenty of time to park and go through the security process at the south doors.

What to Leave in Your Car

Please leave your cell phones, firearm, weapons, and chemical sprays (such as Mace) in your vehicle when you report for jury duty. Cell phones are NOT allowed in the courtroom and you will be asked to return them to your vehicle (you will have to go back through security). Bags will be checked at the security checkpoint.

Access into the Building

The east and west doors are not open to the public, so please use the south doors to enter the courthouse. Once you enter the courthouse, please proceed to the 2nd floor and have a seat in the hallway. The bailiff will begin checking in jurors at 8:30 a.m.
